What a day! We went to MV Dulos. I’m a little bit happy because we didn’t have to wear our uniform and we didn’t have classes in the afternoon. We rode on a jeepney in going there, I was in the front seat together with my classmate.
When we reached there, we took pictures with our teachers and then fall in line. We were told to kept quiet and behaved when we went into the ship. While we were there in the line, we talked and laughed but we kept quiet when it’s out turn to be inspected by the seamen. The next thing happened was that I heard one seaman talking so loudly to our classmate. I wondered what’s going on between the two of them and then I found out that my classmate had a “bomb joke”, like pretending that there’s a bomb inside the bag even if there wasn’t really which the seamen took seriously. Upon hearing this, he inspected my classmate’s body thoroughly to make sure that there’s really no bomb. What the seaman did is like inspecting a real criminal or an accused person. My classmate looked like his going to cry. And then the officer signaled us to proceed up stairs. In taking the stairs, you had to hold tight because it was no ordinary stairs. Instead of rectangular shape, it is an oblong or round shape. After that, I felt dizzy maybe because it’s been so many years since I rode on a ship.
We went to the library where they sold their books for every 100 units equivalent to P100.00. Some of my classmates bought books but I didn’t buy any because the books there were expensive and I didn’t find any interesting books there. That’s why we decided to just go out. There, we ate ice cream.
I had observed that the crews and staffs there were like United Nations. There were people coming from different countries like Brazil, Korea, America, West Africa, Philippines and etc.
There was as if a lecture held inside the ship. It was really funny because when the host asked for 3 brave students, my friend and at the same time my classmate stood up and went in front not knowing that it was for the question and answer portion. But in fairness to her, she’s the most unique among the contestants. We cheered for her. After that, we went down and waited for our service. We talked there and someone told me also that my batch mate (boy) was ran after by the guard there because he was seen by the guard jumping over the fence. Maybe he was just taken by surprised of the insect.
While waiting for the jeepneys there. The boys encountered again a small trouble with the other school but were stopped because the teachers came to save the boys. Thanks to them! And then when the jeepney arrived, we went back to our school.
I think today is the day of the sophomore boys. What do you think?
