-Brain vs. Beauty…which is which?-

People are always arguing about having beauty or brains. Some people would say that having beauty is better than having brains. Some said that brain is better than beauty. But, which is which? How about you? If you’re given a chance to choose. Will you prefer having brains or having beauty?

People having brains or those who were born to be smart said that, “What is beauty when brain is empty?”. Meaning, your beauty is useless if you are not smart. That’s how they defend theirselves. Sometimes when they saw a beautiful girl or a handsome boy, they would directly conclude that these guys were dull. They only had the beauty but not the brains. They said that people having brain were very useful in our country because without their brains, there would be no smart ideas and there would be no high technology. They were very useful in companies because of their brain. Our country would not progressed if the people living in the country were dull. There would be no professionals working with other professionals from other countries if not because of these intelligent people. We didn’t want our country to be popularized by sports only but also in education. These people with brains had a big contribution to us especially their inventions and other things discovered by them. That’s why people that were not smart wishes to be like them because they want a beautiful future. If you were smart, it would be easy for you to finish your studies.

Now in the other side, people having beauty or those who were beautiful were saying that beauty is important to us especially for the girls because now a days, when you want to apply for a job you should have the pleasing personality to be able to qualify for the job. And when you are beautiful, many men would have an interest to you, it’s not hard for you to find a man. That’s what they said. They believed that you could get what you want by using your charms. Sometimes, all you have to do is just stand there and you can already get what you want. It’s effortless. That’s how their beauty works. But we should not under estimate them because they also gave pride to our country. They joined beauty contests to tell the people around the world that women in their country were very beautiful and talented, and not just beautiful, but smart. Joining beauty contests doesn’t include beauty only but also your brain for the question and answer portion, right?

These were only some of our ideas on what beauty has that the brain don’t have and what the brain has that the beauty doesn’t have. You’re the only one who can decide on what’s better, is it the brain or beauty? For me, both are important because they are very useful to us in many ways. It just depends on how to use the gift that was given to you by God. They have their advantages and disadvantages. Just use them in a good way and don’t be boastful if you have that because it wasn’t given to you for boasting but it was given to you by sharing these beautiful gifts. Everything has its own purpose. Always remember that!!…
